What is a “digital investigator?”
A digital investigator is a digital version of a private investigator. They use digital tools such as databases, websites, and digital forensic programs to collect and organize evidence.
What is a social media account safety check?
A social media account safety check is a search for private information where it shouldn’t be on a person’s social media account.
Do you need my account password for a social media account safety check?
No, we do not need any account passwords or special access to your account for this search.
My social media account has been “hacked,” can you help?
It depends on exactly what was done & how. Our services help more with preventing hacking than assisting with accounts that have been hacked but in some cases we are able to help.
Can you hack into people’s accounts?
No, ALL information we obtain in searches is retreived legally.
Can you tell if my identity has been stolen (ID theft)?
The database we use to run background checks searches for “imposters,” which are other people using the same social security number. So if the person who has stolen your identity is using your social security number, their information (name & contact information) will show up in our report.
What is an online dating profile safety check?
An online dating profile safety check is a search that looks for red flags & fake photos on online dating profiles. This can include both your profile and other people’s profiles.
How can smart devices help keep someone safe?
Smart devices can be used in many different ways to help keep someone safe. A couple examples are: 1. Smart watches & smart phones can be used together as a a high-tech alternative to a Life Alert button. 2. Smart outlets can be used for lights that can be turned on & off from anywhere in the world, which makes your home safer while you’re away. These can also be used to turn all of your lights on or off in an instant in an emergency.
Why should I verify a company before hiring someone to do work in my home?
Detailed information can give you a better idea whether or not a company might be trustworthy. Do they have any bankruptcies, evictions, foreclosures, judgements, UCC filings, default notices, or federal watch list history? What corporate filings do they have? Do they have their required professional license? Do they have a parent company or have they done business under a different name variation?
How does a digital investigator help a victim of domestic violence?
A digital investigator can scan a domestic violence victim’s device and make sure they’re not going to be tracked to a new location when they leave an abusive situation. And if the victim is not yet ready to leave, an investigator can teach them digital ways to stay safe.
Can you search for hidden bank accounts?
No, private investigators cannot access people’s financial information other than bankruptcy & evictions. We refer people to another source for that service.
Can you investigate cheating spouses?
We can actually investigate both sides of infidelity cases. We can search for digital evidence of an affair, or we can scan the device of the person accused of infidelity (with their consent) and show exactly what they have and have not done.
Can you locate missing people?
We search for specific information that can lead to locating a missing person.
Do you do surveillance?
No, all of our services are digital. We refer people to another source for that service.
What’s the difference between a DIY background check and a professional background check?
DIY background checks are entirely automated and retrieve data from public records that may be outdated, inaccurate, incomplete, or misattributed, which frequently results in errors such as false positives or negatives. They often miss key information such as criminal and employment histories, education, professional licenses, or records that have not been digitized. A professional background check is run using professional databases not accessible by the general public, and are run by a person, who verifies the information found and follows up with additional searches for more information when & if needed. Can you help prevent someone from being scammed via email/text message/phone call?
We can verify email addresses and phone numbers and tell you who they actually trace back to versus who the email/text message/phone call says they are.
Can you tell if there’s any tracking apps loaded on my device?
Yes, we can scan your device and search for tracking apps, including ones that are hidden or disguised.
How can you help with kids devices?
We can search/scan kids devices and show you what they’ve actually been doing versus what they say they’ve been doing. We are not mandatory reporters, so we do not report your child to law enforcement. We have multiple counselors ready to help get your child back on the right track if needed. We can also help set up parental controls on their devices.
